Chairman's
Message
Richard Brown, Chairman
of the Board
As we begin
July, activities slow down just a little for your
Chamber. Mark your calendars for Monday, July 7th for a
ribbon cutting for one of our newest members, The Surrey
House Floral Designs, a local florist located on Valley View Lane. It
will be held at noon and refreshments will be
provided.
Branch Out will not meet
during July and then in August we will spotlight our
members as we present Branch Out on the Road. Each
Wednesday in August we will meet at a different
location. Check the website for the locations as we
visit our members during August. A Special thank you to
all the companies that have spotlighted their company at
Branch Out in 2008. Also, to Brother Eddy Ketchersid for
his outstanding Networking lessons each
week. A special welcome to Wal-Mart, our
newest Platinum member. Dee Dee Gonzales has already
jumped on board as a member of the Member Relations
Committee. Through Wal-Mart grant programs she presented
two grants to the Chamber. One for the Golf Tournament
and the other for our educational programs, Way to go
Dee Dee. Our 19th Annual Farmers Branch
Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament will be held Monday,
August 25th at Brookhaven Country Club. Check our
website for full details and to sign up. You will soon
receive a letter listing all the ways you can support
your golf tournament from sponsorship levels, being a
volunteer or as a player. Remember to donate golf balls
and door prizes too. Also, mark your
calendars now for October 10th for our Branch Business
Exposition. A new way to promote your company and do
business in the Farmers Branch area. More to
come.
Sincerely,
Richard
Brown
